How to Apply

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for Leapfrogs 2025, you must:

• Your project should have:
  • A developed business hypothesis.
  • Completed market research.
  • Engaged in initial customer interactions.
• Be engaged with the innovation department at your university:
  • This means you have had an initial meeting with a coach at your university.

Application Process

Engage with your innovation department

• For Lund university students that are not in contact yet. 
  • If you have not had an initial contact with us and want to know more about applying, book a meeting here: Book a Meeting.
• Already in Contact?
  • If you are already working with a coach at LU Innovation and believe your project is right for the Leapfrogs program, discuss your interest in Leapfrogs with your coach. 
• What if I am a student at HKR or BTH?
  Students at Kristianstad University (HKR) and Blekinge Tekniska Högskola (BTH) should contact their respective innovation departments for information on the application process.
• For students at Högskolan Kristianstad who do not have contact yet.

Obtain the Application Form

• Applications are managed through your Innovation coach. There is no open application platform.
• Your coach will provide you with the application form if your project meets the eligibility criteria.

Prepare Your Application

• Team Applications Encouraged:
  • We encourage teams of at least two people to apply per project.
  • In some cases, applications from individuals are also accepted.
  • The grant of 40,000 SEK is a personal grant. If a team of three receives two grants (totaling 80,000 SEK), you may allocate the funds within your team as you see fit.
• Develop Your Application:
  • Complete the application form thoroughly, ensuring all sections are addressed.
  • Your coach should be involved in the writting of the application.

Submit Your Application

• For students at Lund University, your application is handled via your coach.
• For students at Kristianstad University (HKR) and Blekinge University of Technology (BTH), the application process is handled via your innovation departments.

Important Dates for 2025

• Application Period: 16th of December 2024 until 16th of February 2025.
• Decision Notification: You will be informed of the outcome in March 2025.
• Program Timeline:
  • Kick-off Event: Mid-May 2025.
  • Workshops and other events: Scheduled throughout June and August 2025.
